Authentication
Documents originated in your country must be legalized by the Chinese Embassy or Chinese consulate in order to be used in China. This process is called document authentication.
Step 1:Apply for a Background Check
Step 2:Get your documents authenticated.
1: TEFL certificate /2 years related teaching experience reference letter
2: University degree
3: Background check
Getting your documents authenticated is a three-step process. We have specified the steps for each country below.
Step 3:Get notification of work permit
Once all of your documents are authenticated by the Chinese Consulate/Embassy, send scans of these documents to your employer. They will apply for your work permit which usually takes 14 business days. It’s important to tell your employer which Chinese consulate you will apply for your work visa. ONCE YOU YOUR EMPLOYER STARTS THE INVITATION LETTER, you cannot change the Chinese Consulate location.
Step 4:Z visa application
Once your visa letter is issued, your employer will mail you your notification of work permit along with supporting documents. Take those documents, with your visa application, passport, and passport photo to the Chinese Consulate or mail them to your visa agent.
